Dear Colleague,

The 4th course has now closed. My sincere gratitude goes out to my expert faculty for their participation in making this another superb course, intensive and highly educational.  Feedback from participants was excellent and will be shared shortly. There were Consultant and senior trainee delegates from across the UK and internationally, including from Canada. Past courses have attracted participants from across Europe, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and from the USA.

As a result of the success of this last course, it is my pleasure to present the 5th Manchester Endoscopic Skull Base Dissection Course to be held at the University of Manchester, UK.  This 3-day course will bring together another excellent faculty, with national and international reputations for their enthusiasm in teaching and education in  expanded endonasal surgery of the anterior skull base.

The course will focus on the expanded applications of endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery with the use of powered instrumentation.  The high quality instruments are the same as those used by the faculty in their day-to-day practices, and are supplied by Karl Storz and Medtronic.

The course will be held at the world-class training facility the Manchester Surgical Skills and Simulation Centre , based at the University of Manchester Medical School. The course is aimed at ENT and Neurosurgery Consultants wishing to develop their advanced endoscopic sinus and anterior skull base surgery skills, senior Specialist Trainees in Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery, experienced Associate Specialists and Trust Grades, and Advanced Fellows in Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery. The course is too advanced for junior trainees, who may wish to look at our core course annually in June.

The course will consist of powerpoint lectures in important subjects related to the paranasal sinuses and anterior skull base but, will mainly focus on surgical anatomy, demonstrations and techniques. Fresh frozen specimens will be used. The faculty and delegates can make full use of the excellent teaching aids present in the anatomy laboratory at the medical school.

The course fee includes full hands-on dissection with a high ratio of expert faculty, refreshments, lunch, and course gala dinner on Tuesday. Hotel fee is not included. The official course language is English. The number of dissector places is strictly limited and on a first-come first-served basis.

Unfortunately, your place can only be confirmed once your payment is received by the Course Administrator. Payments that are not received within 10 working days of your application will result in your name being removed from the reservation list and your place being released to other applicants. Please note, demand for places on this course is extremely high, which has necessitated this approach to payment.

We look forward to welcoming you to Manchester!
